Concept & Character Arts
Obviously the second book presents new various characters whose actions impact the story, meaning we had to explore more designs and ideas for the second book cover. As we discussed the plans with the author and he shared his very own ideas, we decided to feature certain ideas and characters on the second book cover.
The journey to outer space was the biggest change in the story that we wanted to feature on the book cover. We featured planet mars and the spaceship the adventurers were traveling. We came up with few ideas for the spaceship since mainly the features of the vessel were described in the book rather than its design; therefore there was a great room to explore the design for the spaceship.
Book Cover Design
In the early stages, we knew what characters and elements we wanted to display on the book cover, but we needed to study the compositions and placements of the elements. We provided rough sketches for the author to see and imagine how his ideas will be displayed on the book cover. As we noted the author’s feedback, we finalized the design and presented the second book cover in the Divided & Enhanced series.
